Financial
Support
Our
needs are many
your gifts make the difference.
Over
the years, St. Francis Home has been blessed with committed board members,
volunteers, staff and friends. The gifts of time and money have made St.
Francis Home the outstanding long-term care facility it is today.
Excellence does not just happen - it is planned and executed through the daily
partnership work of volunteers, staff and the community.
Why
charitable contributions are needed:
We
have 165 reasons why your contributions are needed - our residents.
Providing quality staffing, health care and a home-like environment for our
residents is our highest priority. St. Francis Home believes that quality care
for the elderly should be affordable. Operating a senior residential
facility is costly.
Resident
fees are generated through several funding sources: private pay, Medicare,
Medicaid, and donations from individuals, foundations and corporate
gifts. Even with government support and private pay, there is always a
gap between income and expenses. Your gifts help us to go beyond basic care to
providing excellent care.
You can make an immediate difference toward our mission of providing quality
care for all our residents. By making a donation online, you have the
opportunity to financially support St. Francis Senior Ministries in a way
that's convenient, fast and most importantly, secure. Credit card donations can
be made by clicking here.

Benevolent
Care
When
a resident enters St. Francis Home, we make a commitment to provide that
resident with a home for life regardless of the individuals
ability to pay. In 2002 we provided over $80,000 in benevolent care to
residents who had outlived their financial resources. Although they saved
for retirement, many residents simply did not image they would live long enough
to see the erosion of their life savings. Private funding by generous
benefactors directly benefits those who have the greatest need.
Capital
Improvements
Just
as your own home requires updating and improvements, St. Francis Home has
similar growing pains. Todays senior living facilities
must undergo continuous improvements to maintain a quality facility that
creates a home-like environment for its residents. Recent capital
improvement projects have included: The Chiara Center, our special care area
for residents with Alzheimers disease and other dementia; the addition of
two-room suites in our assisted living area, and dining room renovation.
Annual
Fund
The
Annual Fund is the wind that keeps us afloat. This fund provides the
necessary money to maintain yearly operations. This fund provides
critical support for day-to-day operational expenses such as; salaries, staff
training, utilities and building maintenance. When you give to the Annual Fund,
your contribution is at work every day.
Endowment
Gifts
of Cash
Outright gifts of cash are always appropriate and are the simplest way to
give. Gifts may be made in memory of loved ones or in honor of special
people or events such as anniversaries or birthdays. You may designate
your gift to a specific project or program.
Gifts
of Appreciated Securities
Giving stocks/bonds makes it possible for you, the donor to avoid capital gains
tax. To determine the appropriate procedure for giving this type of gift,
contact your financial advisor and our Development Office.
Gifts
with Lifetime Income Benefit
The Charitable Gift Annuity, with a guaranteed life income, is a simple
one-page agreement that makes generous payments to you (or the persons of your
choice) for life.
Gifts
of Property
Gifts of real estate, jewelry, art, antiques and other real property are
possible. Contact the Development Office for additional
information.
Gifts
from Your Estate
For many individuals, the most significant gift they can make is through their
final estate. To include St. Francis Home, Inc. in your will or trust,
please have your attorney or financial advisor contact us for the proper
language to use in the document. If you have already written your will,
and would like to include St. Francis Home, a simple codicil (a simple
paragraph that amends your will) can add St. Francis Home, Inc. to the list of
beneficiaries. If you already have included us in your estate planning,
please let us know. We would like to thank you in your lifetime and
include your name in our list of generous benefactors.
Your
support is a gift and blessing to our mission and residents.
Your
gift, regardless of its amount and designation is important to St. Francis
Home. We believe, as you do, that our residents have the right to live
out their lives in comfort, security and dignity. To make a contribution,
